A strong finish was not enough for Wests Gillen Club to win its Alice Springs Netball Association Division 1 round 6 clash with sister team Wests Epilogue on Saturday. Epilogue scored 28 goals in the second and third quarters to lead by 15 at the final change after trailing 9-10 in the first quarter. Wests Gillen hit back in the final quarter scoring 15 goals to 6 but Epilogue ran out 43-35 victors.

Federal Eastside had big wins in the other two Division 1 games. Red set the scene for the club with a 78-16 win against Seasons and White followed with a 76-19 victory against Neata Glass Giants, Both Federal teams had a mix of experienced and young players. Brooke Wilson got the Red team going with 36 first half goals before moving into defence to give Izzy Ross a go as the shooter, Ross scored 19 goals in the second half in partnership with Tegan Hatzimihail who netted 16 goals
for the two periods.

White was spearheaded by Nicola Metcalfe who scored 52 goals. Giants included two 17-and-under players, Elizabeth Johnson and Maddy Heenan, to give them experience at the top level. Rovers Complete Construction had the bye.

Wests Jaws Contracting had a fight on its hands in the Division 2 clash with Sundowners Alice Hospitality Supplies before winning 43-34. Sundowners trailed by four goals at the final change before Wests outshot Sundowners 13-8 in the final stanza.

Rovers Complete Construction defeated Giants Alice Springs Brewing Co 43-28. The first quarter was even 10-all before Rovers hit it's straps. Seasons Flinders University made short work of defeating Federal Swifts 43-13. The attack duo of Felicity Redman and Karlee Button took it in turns to shoot Seasons' score. Redman shot eight goals in both the second and third terms while Button netted 23 goals in the first and final terms.

Margins in three of the Division 3 games were closer with the largest margin in these games being 12 goals. Wests Ward Keller defeated sister side Wests Loco Burrito 37-27, Federal Queens overcame Seasons 30-19 and Federal Cyclones beat Wests Footy Girls 52-40.

The other was a 48-22 win by Federal P&V Flames against Giants GSD Solutions. Taiwan Johnny began in good form shooting 16 goals as Flames shot to 19-4 lead at quarter time. This was followed by 16 goals to eight in the second term with Johnny restricted to eight goals before being switched to defence for the second half.

The closest open grade game was in Division 4 where Rovers BnTz defeated Sundowners Club Eastside 34-32. Rovers led all game and held a 30-20 lead at the final change. Sundowners hit back scoring 12 goals to 4, with Isabella Lorkin scoring nine of her game tally of 23 goals, in the final term. Wests Jaws Contracting defeated Sundowners Gap View Hotel 41-11 and Raging Rovers beat Giants Alice Kustom Paint Supplies 70-25.

There was mixed results for Rovers in the 17-and-under Division. Giants Bark 'n' Bath defeated the Raptors team 47-29, Federal Red overcame Wreckers 54-15 but Ravens beat Wests 38-28.
